The Hot Spot at Ingrow St John’s
The Hot Spot runs every Thursday during term time. Free hot chocolate is available from 2:45–3:30pm, with the main drop-in session running from 3:00–4:00pm.
The space is set up to feel calm, friendly, and supportive. There are games, opportunities to socialise, and space to ask questions about anything on your mind, school, life, or bigger topics. You’ll be met by approachable adults who care about young people and are happy to listen.
The Hot Spot is a new after-school drop-in at St John’s Church, created especially for secondary school students. It’s designed to be a relaxed space where young people can stop by on their way home from school, grab a free hot chocolate, and, if they’d like, stay a little longer to play games, chat, or unwind.
Some students might just come for a drink. Others may stay to hang out. Some might want to talk. However long you stay, you’re welcome.
The Hot Spot is run by local volunteers through CLIKS and the Parish of Keighley. We exist to offer a safe, welcoming place after school where young people can relax, feel valued, and connect with others. We know that life can sometimes feel stressful or overwhelming, and our aim is simply to provide supportive adults, positive relationships, and a space where students can be themselves.
Any secondary school student is welcome whether you’re tired after school, looking for somewhere safe to be, wanting a chat, or just fancy a hot chocolate.
All volunteers are DBS checked and follow safeguarding procedures because your safety matters to us.
We’d love to see you, even if it’s just for a quick drink on your way home.
Come as you are.
